Is Baltimore Really Like The Wire??
I gave my blog this particular title because it is the most common question I am asked when I say that I am from Baltimore.
my personal tumblr

daisysaintsupertramp-deactivate asked: Hi, so you might be able to help me with this. What are some classic Baltimore symbols besides something like the Boh sign? I want to get a small, sentimental tattoo representing Baltimore since I am moving. I was thinking a Black Eyed Susan or an Oriole, but those aren't specific to Baltimore. Any suggestions?
A few ideas could be the U.S.S. Constellation, blue crabs, the harbor skyline from Federal Hill (it’s unique because of the aquarium), the domino sugar sign, the Baltimore smokestack right off of 95, ravens, the Baltimore benches, the Bromo Seltzer Tower, and just simple outlines of the state or city.
Hope there was something in there you like!
forsoma asked: Hi, I love your blog! I used to live in Baltimore and miss it terribly now. You capture a lot of different elements unique to the city that stir up a lot of memories for me, so thank you for posting.
What are your favorite Baltimore places?
Also, kudos to the Urbanite collab!

thank you!!
my favorite places for shooting in Baltimore are probably the places that you don’t really want to go hang out, haha.
my favorite place to hang out is probably fells point. all of my favorite bars are there, soundgarden is there, it’s kind of a central point so you can walk anywhere from there, great people watching, great pizza, and on a nice day there’s no place better to be in the city than sitting outside at a bar drinking a cold beer :)

“The 2011 Commencement Exhibition highlights works by 400 emerging artists in the undergraduate class of 2011. By transforming the College’s permanent galleries, hallways, classrooms and open spaces into one expansive gallery, each student is able to show a substantial body of work.” - mica.edu
every major is represented, and every graduating senior has work displayed. all seven buildings on MICA’s campus has art hung. reblog, come by if you have a chance.
(my work is hanging in the Main Bldg, lower level in the Wilgus Gallery; titled Lykens 1-10)
as part of my internship, i need to construct three “informational interviews” before i can graduate.
basically if you are a working photographer, meaning you make a “living” off of your art, work in editing and touch up, work at a Sears Portrait Studio, etcetc. if you have any sort of monetary dependency on your photography, PLEASE! send me a message.
i am way too busy with 2 jobs, class, and internship to run around chasing down photographers and begging them to give me a few minutes of their time. i would really really appreciate any help you guys can give me!
thanks!!
